Akane Kurashiki
999: 9 Hours, 9 Persons, 9 Doors
"Quote goes here. Yes, here. This was stolen from Hannah."His childhood friend, his roommate, his girlfriend, and the person he holds most dear. They met when they were in elementary school (and he totally had a crush on her, yep) but were separated after that for nine years. After being reunited during the Nonary Game....he remembered how much he really enjoyed having her around. Her safety was one of the most important things to him - which was why, when it was eventually revealed that she was Zero, he didn't completely hate her for it. She means too much for him to hate her; he hates what she's done, sure, but he has faith that she's a good person underneath everything. That, with his hope for the future and the love he feels for her, should be redeemable for a fair amount of luck.
They're probably going to need it, all things considered.
"Santa"
999: 9 Hours, 9 Persons, 9 Doors"Quote goes here. Yes, here. This was stolen from Hannah."Junpei can tolerate Santa. They're certainly far from being BFFs (like, if that were the sun, they are at Neptune or something), but they're not trying to kill each other. And Junpei only sleeps with one eye open some nights instead of all the time. But really, Junpei has nothing against the guy, save a grudge still from the whole punching incident. Otherwise, he thinks he's pretty okay, if a little rough and rude sometimes. He doesn't really hold any animosity over the Nonary Game; he figures if he isn't angry at Akane, who was actually Zero, it's not fair to be mad at her little helper. Granted, he was willing to hate Santa back when they suspected him of being Zero, but Junpei's ~feelings~ aren't restricted by logic, okay.
He is also trying to stay on his good side, because a) being punched by a tree hurt, b) he really enjoys dating Akane (who just so happens to be the guy's younger sister), and c) again, they live together, so it would be really easy for Santa to stab him or something when he's sleeping. Safety first, you know?
"Clover"
999: 9 Hours, 9 Persons, 9 Doors
"H-hey, you're right! What about "nondescript"? Is there such a word as "descript"?"Probably the closest friend he has here at Route. He and Clover got to know each other well over the course of the Nonary Game - after all, 5+4=9, so they wound up going through quite a few doors together. He comforted her over Snake's "death", was the one who revealed to her that Snake was really alive while describing the body in gruesome detail ok shut up that doesn't matter, and was generally someone she could trust - and she was the same for him, unlike.....well, half the rest of the cast. She's also probably the person who was generally nicest to him, which is always a plus.
Here in Route, she's been the person who's understood a lot of his strange ideas, has discussed inane topics with him, and just generally has gotten him as a person. I mean, who else will discuss the dogginess of a dog, name a whole species of Pokemon after his girlfriend, ponder why the world discriminates against non- "non-" words, and have a battle of who can rhyme the longest with him?
"Snake"
999: 9 Hours, 9 Persons, 9 Doors"Quote goes here. Yes, here. This was stolen from Hannah."On one hand, Snake's a decent guy who knows a lot about a lot of things and had a lot of useful information during the Nonary Game. On the other hand, he's a snarky and arrogant ass half of the time. But, with Santa around, Junpei figures he's actually not so bad. He respects the guy and isn't dumb enough to try and challenge him in a fight ever, but they get along well enough.

"Seven"
999: 9 Hours, 9 Persons, 9 Doors
"Quote goes here. Yes, here. This was stolen from Hannah."Seven is....not the sharpest tool in the shed (by any means), but he's a good and dependable guy. Not only does Junpei respect him after hearing that he's a detective who rescued the kids on the Gigantic nine years ago, but he proves to be pretty useful during the Nonary Game as well...after all, he gives Junpei some critical information that helps him figure out what's going on, all between ogling mannequins and poking fun at Lotus's age. Yup, a decent guy, in Junpei's book.

"Lotus"
999: 9 Hours, 9 Persons, 9 Doors"Quote goes here. Yes, here. This was stolen from Hannah."Lotus is an old hag who cramps Junpei's style. Okay, so she actually looks pretty good for 40.......and Junpei really doesn't mind her that much, aside from irritation over her refusing to let him pick out a kickass codename. But eh. He used to be off-put by her seeming ease at sacrificing others to save herself, but once he realized that she was just trying to save as many people as possible (even offering to stay behind at the 'q' door because 5+4+7+2=9), he was a lot more understanding. She may be a blasphemer who is ignorant of the mighty funyarinpa, but she's okay.

"Ace"
999: 9 Hours, 9 Persons, 9 Doors
"Quote goes here. Yes, here. This was stolen from Hannah."Junpei is....not the biggest fan of this guy. Something about kidnapping and nearly burning the girl he loves alive doesn't really endear Ace to him. But if he had to really identify how he feels about Ace, the main emotion (in addition to the anger/disgust/etc.) would be pity. While having prosopagnosia sure as hell doesn't make any of what he did right, he's clearly not right in the head and the actions he took during the Nonary Game of 2027 weren't completely his fault, due to Zero's manipulation. His strategy is just to stay far away....and maybe tease the guy a little, while he's at it (clothes swap, anyone?).
