I will still be going to Korea, and we can even still live in the same city, but I would be getting there somewhat after you.

And yeah, the romance thing is something to consider - I have more experience than you, and have less of a drive to be in a relationship (ending one is different) than most people, so the idea of putting off dating anybody for a year or two is fine for me, but you have a very different situation and so yes, I think you're right in taking that into consideration.
