Being a U.U. thought you might appreciate a Thoreau quote at a moment as such.

"If you have built castles in the air,
your work need not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them."

&

I learned this, at least, by my experiment;that if one advances confidently in the direction of his dreams, and endeavors to live the life which he has imagined,he will meet with a success unexpected in common hours.

from the "Conclusion" to Walden

Good luck and hope you will be able to laugh about it in a few months.

I think you're right on about the realistic expectation thing! If they've waited so long to tell you their criticisms it's not your fault. Besides, Div III is supposed to be a learning process; it's not about finishing with some shiny pretty little product you can tote around and show people. At least, I don't think it should be. I know that's how I look at my Div 3.

So I definetly don't think you should feel pressured to stay up all night working or anything ridiculous like that. All nighters are for people who procrastinate, not for "fixing" a Division Three at the last minute after months of solid work.

My suggestion to you is that if somehow you don't get a reasonable grade with this, you try to publish the paper in an academic catalogue or something.
