At 12:01 AM, however, the Butler enters Cuba's room and gently shakes him awake. The sleep curse- though Cuba does not yet know that it is one- is broken.
Nothing will wake the rest of the Innocents for a solid eight hours.
They are sleeping like the dead.
The Butler's voice is desperate. "Mr. Cuba, sir. I implore you to wake up now. It's urgent."
