Personalization on imaginary countries

What do you think about it ?

In my opinion, even if I enjoy making OCs when I'm bored, personalizing imaginary contries would be a bit too much. There is already cities-tan as OCs, and I'm glad Himaruya doesn't go farther than regions because it would be a huge, gigantic bunch of characters. I even find it a bit out of context because those ( Read more... )

"Danitopia"... Wasn't it that Sue-tan who deserved a wank post a while ago ?
I think Sue-tans may count in this entry. After all, they are based on crackness too..

I think there are enough countries/states/cities... if you don't know who you can design do it with your village, even if it has only 100 inhabitants.

With a village named "Anus" (France) or "Fucking" (Austria), it would be epic.
But I think the limit should be the great cities. A neighborhood-tan, station-tan or even a village-tan would be too exagerated.

Yes, but that's just like an imaginary country - too much.
That's what I wanted to say ;)

Some people can always do this just for fun. When it becomes serious, it'll be "a bit" problematic, like the Sue-tan mentioned earlier.

Mainly, it's about some fictionary places being hetalianized. It could come from books (like Howgarts as a random example).

For me, the fun in Hetalia is that is anchored in history. Making up countries ruins that so I have no interest in them.

So what you're saying is not to "hetalia-ize" imaginary countries?

I've seen "hetalia-ized" versions of fake countries from games - like the regions of pokéverse and Outer Heaven from Metal Gear, but I always thought it was a cute idea. It's just for fun, like one-shot "what if" drawings.

Using them in RP or fics is a little much, so I agree with you on that occasion. But otherwise I don't see a lot wrong with it.
