Because various people have said that this place doesnt get enough wank. And nobody should get mad at me for bringing up an 'old topic' when I see people wank about the dub ALL THE TIME and I just knoooow some people are dying to let dub wank out. I didn't hear anything offensive except the terrorist reference, but then again my speakers are crap, so...

I wonder if anybody out there got offended by the toilet humor or lack of hygiene jokes added into the dub?

~America lets a fart rip in Episode 36
~Romano complains of Italy Dutch oven-ing him
~All the jokes about Italy and France having horrible body odor or not bathing.

Ugh, I just don't see how Funi thought any of these jokes would be funny...

Seriously, wtf? We're not a bunch of 8 year olds... And the offensive jokes don't fit the spirit of the original webcomic/manga/anime.

I'm easily grossed out so toilet humor makes me go 'fdssdafds'

And I bet French people and Italians dont even smell bad ;< Shit, I've even seen Disney Channel (not like that place deserves much respect anyway) use the French joke and it's like, just no. B(

Though Disney is for little kids with no real sense of humor soooo

To elaborate on the OP's bit about BO, Germany begs the wishing star to teach Italy how to take a bath (among many other things). France is the #1 "bad hygiene" target in the dub, Italy gets hit with it a little less frequently but it's still there.

As jihad reference? Good lord why would they put that in? Oh well, I assume it's some off hand one liner like the Jew and experiment lines from season 1 right?

I'm not going to watch the episodes online since I can watch them on Comcast but has anyone seen the second part of Storage Room Cleaning yet? If so how did they do?

Well, the jihad reference was tied into the Italians-going-to-the-Mid-East-and-kicking-their-ass-kicked rant by Germany. A short rant, but a rant none the less. xD

They did good. Eric managed to take it down a few notches and the script changes were minimal and did nothing to take away from the scene.

Really, they had half the script written for them from the previews. Not much to change.

Hey, I'm a bit late to the party, but can anyone tell me if they heard exactly what Finland's line about saunas was in episode 31 before Germany says "That sounds like a really good idea"? Because I think I misheard it but what I did hear freaked me out. Oh, also, out of curiosity, what was Italy's final line in that episode?
By the way, I think Germany said something about the Fuhrer in episode 32, but I couldn't hear what. Grrrr accents. I love them but they can get hard to understand.

Well, now you gotta share what you thought he said, or it's just not as fun. :3

Naw, I didn't hear anything clearly, is all. I just was like OH GOD I CAN THINK OF A REALLY HORRIBLE JOKE THAT COULD BE MADE RIGHT HERE and from what I heard, it may have indeed been made. Something about saunas and ovens. But I couldn't tell.
