I've got some questions about the One Coin figurines and after checking the rules to make sure, I've decided that this is a good place to ask ( Read more... )

1. It's the way figure sales work in Japan, both for scale figures (1/8, 1/6, etc) and for trading figures (like the One Coins). Japan loves limited edition merchandise, so their print runs for figures are pretty much always limited so the figures feel rare and special. It's just the way it works.

2. Set 2 probably will be at least once. Set 1 has been reprinted at least 3 times, maybe as many as 5. idk if it'll ever get reprinted again. It wouldn't surprise me, though, since it's the Axis and Allies.

3. It's possible, since the cast is enormous. Unfortunately I doubt we'll ever see merchandise of S. Korea ever again because of the incident involving South Korean nationalists back when the anime started airing. I'd like a set with Seychelles, Belarus, Ukraine, Belgium, Turkey, Iceland, Norway, Denmark, and Monaco. Dream on, I know.

Wow, I had no clue what set one had been reprinted so many times. I thought it only ran twice. And Crap!! I completely forgot about the Korea controversy. Yeah, that will probably mean that no figure of him will be made. On the other hand, Denmark with his poleaxe would be awesome. XD

I'm forever butthurt about the Korea controversy because he's one of my favorite characters and I don't want him to disappear from all the official stuff. ;~;. I will cling to that trading mascot that they made of him for deal life.

And yeah, it got reprinted a lot.

Drive by comment to say I love your lineup for #3. So much love for the Hetalia ladies! I would die to see Belgium and Seychelles, especially. :D

I could see them making a set 3 for the one coins. They did it for the Takara Tomy keychains and the plushies. If they do, I'd want Belarus, Turkey, and Sealand to be included.

I'm pretty much positive there'll be another. Enough not-completely-minor characters to get another set of 9 together and enough demand. I could see the next set being Poland, the Baltics, Norway, Denmark, Iceland, Sealand, and Liechtenstein or something like that.

If there is another set, and Poland and Lithuania aren't in it, I'll... I dunno, do something dramatic.
