Price Consulting: Hetalia Tokyopop Vol 1 and 2

Hello, I'm looking to have this cleared up to me. Online searches for the average price for Hetalia Tokyopop Volume 1 and 2 show prices in the hundreds. I'm aware that the publishing company has gone bankrupt, but these prices seem ridiculous. I'm looking to sell my copies, but I'm quite sure that they cannot possibly be worth more than $15. Easiest way's to just take offers. ;u;

While people are charging insane amounts like you're seeing, they're probably not selling for those prices.
But at the same time, any item's value is the highest someone's willing to pay for it.

Can't hurt to see what happens, right?

I will probably take offers, but I would like to know what would be a fair 'starting price'...

I'm personally going to say no lower than $12 unless they're really damaged. ... In which case you wouldn't be selling in the first place, so probably not an issue.

I mean. Retail was $11/$14. So.

Oh dear lord... *holds onto books forever*

When Sailor moon was out of print... each book went for around $15-30, depending on the condition. Since the books are outta print, I would consider a decent starting point to be about $15, and if the books are pretty much mint condition, then $20-30.

The high prices are nothing new, though. The 3rd volume of the Full Metal Panic novels is still going for over $100, Gosick vol 1 is close to a hundred as well (I'm completely ignoring the "new" price, as no one's gonna buy it for that).

This is pretty much how the "out of print" world works. Hetalia's prices'll be especially high because of how popular it still is. But yeah, if you want to do a bidding, I would definately start about 120-150% of what you paid for the product and see how high people are willing to bid.

Okay, thank you for explaining. I'll try to make a quick sale for $20 on another website in my country.
