My first fanfic for....after so many years D8

After watching the current episode I'm like aww.... I remember spending christmas in Alfred a couple of times and how my relatives there keeps telling me they'd rather celebrate it here in Manila because it's happier with all your relatives and friends with you to celebrate the season. The cold winter and the long distance is driving them nutz.

Then my muse struck me x_x

Enjoy D:?

Summary: "You know what will make it all perfect, Kuya?" she mused, her palms pressed on her chin and her dark eyes sparkling as her gaze follows the flakes dancing by the wind. It was like being in another world. "Snow! Lots of it too! I always want to feel what it's like to have such cold weather--- a white christmas with my family and friends---"

Family and friends

He let out a soft chuckle, rubbing his gloved hands together as he observed her interestingly from the side, leaning on the column between them. He remembered his past christmases---

Sally does not know how lucky she is.

Pt. 1 - Filipino Time XD

World Conference.

Alfred Jones stifled an exhausted yawn, stretched both of his arms and legs before clasping both hands on the back of his head and tilted his chair back---waay back--- much to Arthur's chagrin. Naturally he will reprimand the younger blonde man with his blatant display of bad etiquette while he is still talking about his economic proposal, but by this time he was already aware that most of the other nations are not faring that well either. It's a global recession, the hard times, and a heavy cloud of gloom seems to hung in the air at that very room.

Even Francis for once, have agreed without any hesitation when he asked him about a particular financial issue, the frenchman it seems, is rather more interested watching his half-empty wine glass than arguing. But it was the american, that was really getting in Arthur's nerves. Alfred is now making a low whistling sound and was impatiently looking at his wristwatch..tapping with his right feet in a frantic beat, like a kid who couldn't wait for the 5'o clock dismissal bell.

And slowly his mouth opened...

Can he get any more bloody subtle?

"No Alfred, we are not DONE yet." He frowned, giving him a quick look "---and don't give me that look either, seriously, its like---"

"I need to excuse myself--!"

"No, you are not excused, not yet. Just few more minutes and we will be---"

"Damn it Arthur, I need to PEE!" He stood up, gesticulating frantically. He didn't wait for Arthur to respond, but it perked some heads in the room as Alfred tripped from his seat, clambered to his knees and desperately heads for the nearest exit. Damn it, I shouldn't have sat so far from the...

Meanwhile...

"Oh no, no! I'm late! Dyosko, not again!" she gasped, running furiously at the long winding corridors that seems to never end. The young brown-skinned woman combed back wet ribbons of her hair as she looks at her wrist watch.

She shouldn't have taken her siesta, now she is late for the meeting. Again. It happened several times before, and she always apologizes for arriving late. The other nation-tans already have a joke for it, Arthur referred it to as "Filipino Time"

"Ahh! this is embarrassing!" she shut her eyes, trying to remove the image of the tea-drinking thick-browed snob making a rather caustic remark on her tardiness. She learned not to overreact when he does reprimand her, as it's just his way of expressing his thoughts. It's not meant to be personal. However, deep inside she knew he has a soft side, sometimes he would nod curtly and gaze away as he asks her how she is coping with the current crises.

*BLAGAG*

(never run with your eyes closed |D)

"owww....it hurts"

"aray, aray!!"

Salome knocked herself hard against someone who suddenly came bursting in from the corridor at the left. Her vision cleared and slowly formed a figure of a young man with the familiar deep blond hair and bespectacled blue eyes, clutching his head in great pain.

"Kuya Alfred?!"

"Eh?"

"America?"

"I-I'm Canada."

Matthew Williams stared bewildered at the young woman whose face was brightly staring at him. He cannot remember seeing this nation-tan before. She resembles the south american brothers, but her features are more fine, distinct; her form petite and more asian. He held his breath, waiting for an expected outburst that is all too familiar when the other nations mistook him for that idiot brother of his, America.

"Really?" she instead reacted with awe, "You and Kuya Alfred look so much alike!"

Oh dear...

"Kuya Alfred never told me he have a brother!" she smiled, ever so brightly once again. She extended her hand, "I'm Maria Consolacion Salome, but you can call me Philippines!"

"---you can call me Matthew, um Maria" he stared at her then reluctantly taking her hand as she helped him up, he was surprised with her genial attitude. He wonders about her relationship with his brother Alfred.

"I'm going to be late for the world conference---"

"I'm on my way there as well!"

"Well, let's hurry then---!" she exclaimed, grabbing the blonde by the arm and nearly dragging him as they ran. "I hope they are not finished yet!"

As they rushed to the corridors, Salome noticed at the corner of her eye another bespectacled blonde man frantically rushing to the other side of the hall.

Kuya Alfred?

Caucasians, sometimes they all look alike..

NOTEZ: About the filipino time, no the english didnt coin it xp. But I remember coming across a pair of very angry englishmen about some airport delay going "its not like this in bloody england!"

I based the image description of Matthew (canada) from the anime version. to make them..more confusing xp in terms of looks.

Alfred calls her Sally, from Salome...ergh americanized names D8 at least Matt called her Maria right :)

I like referring them with their human names, but formally with their country names. something like that *noodle wave*

I'm too embarrassed to post this in nationslash

Next time I'll prolly include fan art woooo!

It's almost 2 am O_O WATDAHELL.
