A fellow future Doctors-Without-Bordersian?! bibliomariaJanuary 9 2011, 07:13:24 UTC
Hello! If you wouldn't mind conversing via e-mail with someone who has only known what Hetalia is for 3 days and counting...I would like to be friends
( ... )

Let me tell you 3 secrets:
1) I totally failed my Computer Science exam since I discovered Hetalia the weekend before my exam. To be honest, I thought it was kind of a stupid name in the beginning. Anyway, I love it to pieces now. (I also have a secret desire to map out where Toronto is located on Canada's body. I <3 this city.)
2) *is a total math/bio geek too, but wants to avoid chemistry whenever possible*
3) I can't figure out how to PM after 6 minutes of fruitless searching... but I added you as a friend? This whole obsession with finding a penpal comes after being sent various pitying looks by my friends once they heard that I played video games by myself. The joys of being an only child, I suppose.
So if you don't mind my rambly nature, I'd love to be penpals/friends with you too.
*is trying to figure out LJ* 100summerdaysJanuary 9 2011, 22:08:55 UTC
/highfive back. I love teasing the little kids. They always fall for the same tricks. The quiet ones are the cutest though. (I have so much power. *evil laugh*) Now, how to friend... How to friend... I joined LJ like a long time ago and then I never came back really, because fanfiction took over my life a few years ago. Now I have to figure out how things work again. Maybe I should read a manual on Google.
I think my bookcase collapsed because I hoard stuff from like 500 billion years ago. Yeah. I bought the entire Twilight series during the huge craze in stupid hardcover. I cracked it open for like 20 minutes and then I promptly ignored it since I couldn't stand the storyline. (I feel sorry for my parents sometimes.) So now everyone is afraid to come into my room since I have columns of books stacked on my floor.
(Before Hetalia, the World Cup was not really my thing. After Hetalia, I totally skipped my summer school to watch the final game.)
Annnnnnyway, I think I just added you as a friend too. ;)
Hello~ I would totally love to be pen-pals with you! :3 It's so amazing that you want to be a doctor~ Especially to be part of Doctors Without Borders! ;w; I really admire you! ;w; I used to be a biology major, but I found my passion to be something else! Now I'm an international relations major :'D
Anyway! I'm from Texas, USA, and aside from Hetalia, I love video games and Japanese/Korean music~ I'm trying to use up my stationary, so I can definitely do snail mail! But I can do e-mail as well if it's more convenient~ I look forward to your reply! ;w;
This is so strange, but I got your message, but I can't reply to it? :O Umm umm if anything, you can also contact me at my e-mail ;w; (alice.addict @ gmail.com) Orrrrr I can send you mail first? :D Can't wait to write to you! ;u;
Omg, we have the same goal. <3 I'm working towards being a doctor, then being part of Doctors Without Borders too! o(^v^)o
I love reading (though I don't collect books; my parents would scold me for spending too much money and tell me to just borrow the books from the library.) I speak English, Mandarin, and a bit of Japanese.
Currently I'm extremely free (waiting for results to get into junior college which sort of = high school), but after that I think I'll be much busier. D: So the replies would come slower after that.
OF COURSE. :)100summerdaysJanuary 16 2011, 02:22:09 UTC
Yuppers. Here's something weird: I still have my Chinese citizenship, even though I've been in Canada for a huge part of my life. I barely know how to speak/write Chinese, so most people just kind of stare at me when I tell them that. I feel kind of nostalgic though, especially after the Olympics and the World Expo. Plus, with my Chinese citizenship, I could get into North Korea. (In fact, my hometown is kind of close to the Korean peninsula.)
My reply dates vary with the amount of homework (i.e. hell) that I have to get through. But I would love to talk with a fellow wannabe Doctor-Without-Bordersian. Well, my grandma recently came to Canada. And she really draw on the dramatics when I talk about helping poor African orphans. Some people don't really understand, I suppose. Sooo... Email or snail mail? Just message me. :)
YAAAAY~! ^___^chthonian666January 16 2011, 07:33:14 UTC
Yeah, in Singapore, there are a number of China, Taiwan, Malaysia or Hong Kong citizens, who still have their citizenship but live here their whole lives too. And don't worry; my Chinese is pretty horrible too. TAT
Yup, hw always takes up a lot of everyone's time. D: It's okay though; take your time to reply me~ RL always comes before anything. :) It's my first time meeting a fellow wannabe Doctor-Without-Bordersian though! ^^ Though a lot of people I know want to be doctors, I guess they mostly want to be it because of the "fad" (their friends all wanting to be doctors too), or "because I don't know what I want for my future, I'll choose medicine~!". /shakesfist
Ahh, people like that always exist. D: Those who don't understand when we talk about our desire to help suffering people. Mm, I'm pretty okay with both email and snail mail! ;D Which is more convenient with you? (I'll PM you both my email and home address.)
Ack, sorry, I can't PM you, something's blocking it. D: I'll give you my email address then~! It's vampyric.lycan@gmail.com (don't ask about the name prz, it's embarrassing. ;A;).
