It doesn't have to be AU. Maybe Arthur's just trying out human-stuff like that sometimes (for honestly, being a nation all the time must be hard without changes).
BONUS - As a revenge, Arthur goes to America a day Alfred's being a guard. Just to learn that American guards do not have to stand still, and are not happy with being made fun of / molested (or Alfred's REALLY happy and just jump him OTL)
Summary: America succeeds in getting this stoic English guard to lose his cool.
