However, instead of everything being okay in the end, or them somehow all surviving from this horrifying nightmare, I want them to either die or suffer a fate worse than death.
They can still be awesome kickass and calling out headshots left and right but in the end, they're doomed. They might know it, they might not know it, but either way they're doomed.
Bonus 1: At least one of the nations has cracked during the period in which they had to defend themselves against their own people
Bonus 2: The 'last one standing' is someone completely unexpected.
