Original Request: In anon's headcannon, the nations are not treated as expected by their higher ups- in fact, I think of them being treated like the princesses of the old.
That being, they are married and traded like valuable items, used solely to establish good connections between countries. Perhaps they're sold as slaves or servants to other countries to help soothe national budget deficits, or sent to the front lines of battle because they're virtually indestructible; whatever writer!anon can think of, along those lines.
So, I'd like to see a fill following the above belief. Aside from that, it can be anything the writer desires- journal entries from a country who has been sold to their worst enemy, poems, drabbles... Whatever.
Summary: Marriage to France isn't what America wants, but he may not be able to win the war without it.
