Himaruya added even more to the entry with Romano and the Prussia and Austria picture.
Original Taiwan is saying "lao shi", which is Chinese for teacher. Hong Kong is saying "xian sheng", which in in Chinese means mister. However, in Japanese, teacher is "sensei", written with the same kanji as "xian sheng." So I suppose Himaruya's showing how the same kanji can mean different things in Japanese and Chinese.
What Himaruya wrote is sort of on those lines, but my Japanese fails so I can't translate it completely.
