haven't had much chance to draw fanarts lately. I've got this commission I'm working on, and it should be easy, but it's stealing my soul e_e. But I did make time to go to the Birmingham NEC Memorabilia Show last Sunday.
As per usual with any excursion on my part, everything went wrong en-route, but I still had lots of fun. I got to snap some pics of a very nice England and America, buy some books and badges and some adorable keychains (made by sarmander ). I apparently missed a Ukraine and Canada, despite the fact that the whole event took place in one hall. Oh, alright, a very big hall, but still! Daww!
I sort of cosplayed Taiwan. I say sort of... Well, I can't bring myself to post a photo, but it was a last minute no-sewing costume hashed together out of ordinary clothes and an outfit with drapey sleeves which my gran made for me when I was younger and smaller. So as my attempt at an apology to Taiwan for apparel sins commited in her name, I decided to draw her. But I kinda fluffed that up a bit too. Proportions are off, and drawing a charcter you're not best familiar with from memory is never a good idea. Several costume mistakes I'm afraid! But rather than scrap it, my friend persuded me to post it. Which is just as well, it'll make a change from all the Iggy pics I've been drawing (And intend to keep drawing XD)
