Translation for the U.K./England version of Marukaite Chikyuu

May 22, 2009 16:50

I think it's more U.K. than England mainly because of the bagpipe.
ps. Just to clarify, igirisu can mean both UK and England. Actually both common names for UK can interchangably refer to England (..yeah, I know)
There's an article explaination the situation here, plus you only need to see the wiki entry for イギリス to see that they are talking about ( Read more... )

It's probably a reference to his belief in the supernatural more than his big brother. :P

Well, there were those strips about England and Japan's ghost cultures, and that one where he saw Japan's mythological creatures say goodbye...

he certainly wouldn't Scotland a ghost, considering that he's got none too pleasant memories of him. XD

In the chilly winter, go all-out

The pencil could be a reference to England being "Lord of the Scatterbrains" as Himaruya called him, so maybe he picked one up or lost one on the tube or something idk

The tattoo might be reference to his delinquent days? I wonder where it is XD

I think someone on a previous post mentioned that they could be Northumbrian smallpipes but I'm not musical on any level so I don't know what the disctinction is, lol.

I love this version, anyway. Thanks for the translation <3
