So, this strip is the one Hima was talking about in his previous blog update:

"(...)I plan to post a comic strip that I’ve done previously, but it’s a serious story that’s not festive at all…"

What does the bite mark mean? djongpoy November 1 2014, 23:13:24 UTC
I know that he played the flute and was bitten by a dog. But what I don't get is what the dog meant that "Didin't I bite him a week ago?" Is it referring that Prussia faked a bite or is it something else? Anyone hope to explain.

Nations, with their immortality, are able to heal themselves instantly. Which is why when Germany notices the bite, Prussia says that he just hurt himself a moment ago, and you see Germany think to himself "Well, it'll just heal itself right away,", cause that's what normally happens. But then at the end we see that the dog actually bit him a week ago. Which implies that Prussia is losing or has already lost his nation powers, or even at least some of them. He has already lost his healing abilities, or at least they are much lesser than they normally would be for a nation. He may be on the road to losing his immortality, or even already lost it, so cue fandom chaos and panic. ;_;

I think I am the only one who actually wish Prussia departs. It will provide closure and tie some ends. If nations continues on and on without dying, it strikes me as eternal torment. But if they do die some point, even if not imaginable with a human perspective (kind of like Davie), it would allow them to let go of their past and move on to whatever that suits their beliefs.

Am I alone in this?

You have a interesting point.
He is not dead yet, hes still alive and kicking, but it has been hinted before that he will be around as long as West needs him, so it has been hinted that he would die, though that probably wont be for a long long long time.

I kind of agree with you.

But this whole thing were fans are saying "Hima killed off Prussia", kind of bugs me because, hes not dead yet.

I do admit it is ominous having this strip on All Saints day and Dias De Muertos.
But again, HE IS NOT DEAD YET!

I want to add that this chapter is one of many that show what a wonderful big brother he is, and how much he cares for his little brother.
Also more hinting Germany is HRE.

Oh!! I haven't heard this, nor have I thought about it myself.

If it really was like that, then I think I would prefer Prussia to depart/disappear too, we've seen how this could affect someone if they lived such long lives(France and the Soldier strip)...

I just had an idea like what if Prussia IS vanishing because Germany doesn't need him anymore, so Germany tries to find a reason for him to stick around, even if it's something stupid like 'you can't leave, I don't know how to play the flute yet! You need to teach me!'

I always get excited when Hima-papa writes the more serious stuff with Hetalia because we don't see it as often, but at the same time I am always terrified at what he could write (Davie hit me really hard, I was legitimately crying over that one the more I thought about it). And at the end of this, it just really solidified for me the fact that Prussia is changing, whether he is becoming more human or is loosing his abilities as an nation and is closer to disappearing, or something else...

I love all the talks I've been seeing on here and Tumblr of what it could be, such as with him living with a nation he might be prolonging his life, there possibly being a new role for him still left to fulfill, suffering the consequences of wanting to stay a nation and not just become a human (Hima-papa did say it would be much harder for an established nation to become human versus what Nikko Nikko Republic did), it's very interesting to hear all of these theories! An ominous strip, but Prussia is still alive and kickin'. I'm more curious as to ( ... )
