Wikipedia def: "Silla (57 BC - 935 AD) (IPA: [ɕilla]) was one of the Three Kingdoms of Korea, and the longest sustaining dynasty in Asian history."

I so desperately want someone to write something on how Silla became Korea.
Please? :]

The child was coarse and hardy, barbaric and beautiful. This was still a time when gods walked the earth, beautiful and horrible and still as removed from humanity as the clouds were removed from the mountains. Beasts dreamed of being humans. The boy swelled and grew in leaps and bounds from the wreckage of a ruined barbarian kingdom and he did not know how he should feel about this child, whose father he had helped kill ( ... )

Korea started out as a “Proto-nation” around 2333 B.C., called Gojoseon which was to the northeast of Manchuria. The founder of this nation was allegedly the son of a god with a bear who had turned into a human woman (I won’t go into the entire story here). Gojoseon fractured and fell in 108 B.C. (yes, with help from China at the time) and became the proto-three kingdoms, which were actually little city-states (or rather, town-states more than anything else). In 57 B.C. one kingdom united the remaining fiefs and territories and became known as Goguryeo, which reached from the top of the Korean peninsula to quite deep into China. The two other kingdoms, Silla and Paekche, established themselves deeper into the peninsula, also arising from the same city-states as Goguryeo had ( ... )

Whoa.
That was NOT what I had expected and it was AWESOME.

I really liked how you used the Dragon as China. I thought that was an interesting choice.

And... oh geez.
It's great.
Thank you. <3

I'm glad you liked it! I actually had this on paper for a while and just got around to writing it. ^^; Korean history is pretty complicated, really, so I definitely took some artistic license.

That was the only name I could really think for him, actually...

Haha, no worries. XD

It's so intresting, too.
It was always my eternal disappointment we barely learned Asian history (besides a little on China and Japan) in school. Dx

I think it fits. :)

Unfortunately to most classes "World History" means "History of England, France, America, Germany and everyone they screwed over."

Oh, yes, this was very fun to write. The three kingdoms were such a freaking dysfunctional family.
