So I just read the Antonio and Lovino having sex in a church fill and it made me realize that I need more Catholicism based ficcage.
I would like to see Italy getting married to Germany because a good Catholic waits until marriage, but he can't get married in a church because they're gay so he cross dresses as a girl to be Ludwig's bride~!
How elaborate the wedding is (just them and some witnesses or a huge ordeal where everyone is pretending for a day that Veneziano is a woman) is up to the writer. Please make my day!

Italy had always wanted a big wedding with a beautiful girl wearing a pretty, white dress. Complete with all the vows and rituals. It had been one of his favorite daydreams. Then he had met Germany and fallen in love. Italy realized right away that there was no way he and Germany could marry and he had comes to terms with it. As much as he would miss his fairytale wedding, he had gotten a wonderful, caring lover in return

OP is verah verah happy <333 This is looking awesome so far. If I'm not mistaken Germany would technically have to convert to Catholicism in order for the wedding to completely follow the rules, (that would make a great fic in itself) but you can just pretend that he did or that he doesn't have to.
I really love Italy's explanation for why he wants to marry Germany <3 I can't wait to see what you add to it!
Actually, according to what I've looked up, both spouses don't have to be Catholic anymore. But I actually did touch on that in the next part (not deeply, but I did mention it). :3 I'm glad you're enjoying!

Bleh, the only person I know who ever talks to me about that sort of thing is waaaay traditional (her father converted to marry her mom) and my mom didn't like the Catholic church in her area so got married in my dad's Presbyterian church -_- So I'm obviously not the person to go to for this sort of stuff.

I'm not even Catholic or apart of any religion (though I do believe in God), so xD I've also only been to one wedding in my entire life. I have a lot less knowledge than you~

It’s a bit of a surprise how Italy really rises to the situation. The next day, Germany is shocked when he wakes up alone and Italy comes back later with a large mountain of papers in his arms. When Germany asks if he’d like any help, Italy tells him no and just hums as he goes to Germany’s planning room (since Italy has no planning room

Not a fan of this pairing, but still reading for the lulz. :D
Oh, and I just wanted to say, Germany actually is Catholic! Well, sort of. Germans aren't really known for their religious fervor, but that's not to say it doesn't exist. The thing is, the north is indeed Protestant, but the south is actually Catholic. Suggestive, much?

I'm glad you guys are enjoying this :D ----
“Married? You’re getting married? What a lousy idea, West! You should be more awesome like me and never get married. Marriage is such a hassle. And you‘re marrying that idiot you‘re with, right? Italy? I thought I raised you better than this.”
“It’s a little too late to not think about marriage, brother. Italy already has the entire wedding ready and in just under two weeks…somehow.” Germany still didn’t know how it had been done and he wasn’t sure if he was pleasantly surprised that Italy had actually managed to pull something like this off so well; or if he was just plain scared because since when did Italy do anything right? Something was definitely wrong but every time he tried to ask, Italy kept calling it a surprise and said he couldn’t look. What did he think was going on? A surprise party? It was a goddamn wedding! His wedding. And Italy wasn’t even letting him know what was happening
