France/Spain anonymous March 17 2009, 16:42:30 UTC
So we generally see France and Spain, canonically, as being on excellent terms. This anon would like to see the other side of their relationship, a la Spanish War of Independence, so~

France/Spain, set during the Peninsular War/Spanish War of Independence, with a love-hate dynamic thrown in and angry dubcon sex that borders on noncon.

In their early days, it was simpler. Those childhood days are far away now, hiding behind ocean waves and wind. Antonio had played in the fields with Francis and they would hide from each other, popping up and down like paper planes in the summer or at the lakes, splashing and yelping, high and young. And, of course, the play-fights that dominated young boy’s lives then, they had too. With these small, wooden swords they made in a single day, they broke in a single day, but Antonio would always win. After a while anyways, Francis and his golden billows of fine hair whipping around was damn quick, hard to catch. Then they still shared little secrets, whispered soft and quick ( ... )

There’s this cutting feeling somewhere in his chest, Antonio is pretty damn sure it’s not in his heart, but maybe it is. It hurts all the same. Or maybe in his lungs, because he is gasping a little now, holding onto the reins tight. He can’t see much besides black hairs of the horse and golden fields passing by his vision, faster and faster. But one thing he wishes he could stop seeing was the smoke and bits of flame in the still, and ever hot, air above Barcelona. Fire and bullets and smoke just stop mid-air, hanging like low mist in winter mornings down somewhere in the valleys ( ... )

“Don’t fucking treat me like a baby, Francis!” His eyes are blazing, shimmering with refined and deep-set anger. “You are a god-damn piece of work, you know that ( ... )

The thing is, he doesn’t, and Antonio fights still. Thank God, he is not as stupid as some may think. One thing during war he’s learned: never go anywhere without, at least, a dagger. So, with one free hand, he takes it out, slowly, and begins whispering back to Francis, in the most lovely voice he can muster up. Saying things in his native tongue that sound like a sweet sea breeze to a person he used to know, just until the dagger is fully out and he has the opening, what a miracle. He pushes up the blade into Francis’s side, or at least tries. He’s gotten better since when they were kids. He steps out of Antonio’s reach and lets him fall to the ground with an unnatural sort of thump and crack. And then, he’s on top of him, wrestling for the blade-scratching, kicking, punching, and swearing-until Francis grips it, wrenching it free from Antonio’s callused hands. How charming those hands were, really. And then he takes the dagger, and stabs it, hard through muscle, into Antonio’s arm and he tries not to scream. “You are such a two- ( ... )

And Antonio, needy but not desperate, grips at the paler torso, feeling bone under muscle under a thin, supple layer flesh. Francis then has Antonio’s legs over his shoulders, he’s learned there’s more access this way and bucks hard, upward, aiming at something he cannot see, but knows, all too well, where. There is this guttural moan erupting and flowing over into hot, hot air. Stars. “Francis ( ... )

This was very good! We really do need to see more of their darker dynamic. But now why doesn't someone write sequel and show what Spain does in sweet revenge? Like the Battle of Bailen and how an army of untrained and underpaid Spanish soldiers handed the Napoleonic army their own asses?! I'd love to see Spain get his deserved retaliation! >:D
