Because Anon is one cheery mofo, she looked up world suicide rates today! From the figures she found, Lithuania has the highest rate followed by Belarus and Russia.
What really surprised her was that Canada had a higher rate than both the UK and the US.
tl;dr Angsty-angst fic involving Arthur and Alfred worrying about Matthew. Or something involving Lithuania.

On it!
Right, so here goes the suck. They didn't see the first sign; how he always slept and yet always seemed tired, ignored the second; he'd just always worn long sleeves and it was cold where he lived so why worry when he suddenly switched to sweaters? Saw the third sign; his eyes were black and whenever someone tried to talk to him he just dropped himself out of the conversation, but the last one was harder to push off to the side

"The hell do you care..?" Matthew growled, it was low but it was there, looking up at Arthur with puffy eyes and bared teeth. "Why not just go back to your perfect world of ruling everything and having everyone come running to your every whim?!" he was angry and they all knew it. "Sure I may not have all your flashy weapons or political power but at least I'll always be there eh?! Just ask Canada and he'll be at your fucking beck-and-call!!" He covered his face with his hands, one of which you could see the blood that seeped through

And then they all acted like nothing had just happened but Canada saw their eyes, the way they moved to him and acknowledged him. It changed, he'd changed and they knew that now that the dam had broken they'd have to delicately go about helping him build something better in it's place.

Oh my poor country ;_;. I loved the parts where Matthew told them how they used him in battles and tossed him aside when they didn't need him. It's so sad that it's actually true. Not to get political here but Canadian soldiers are still getting killed in Afghanistan.
"like I should be grateful that you allow me to exist!"
Reminded me of the bitch Ann Coulter who once said "Canada should be grateful we let it exist on the same continent." ROLTF, really?

This story was very cuddly and sad at the same time; it made this hurt-comfort loving anon very happy. I liked the ending in how everything returned to normal, except for the small differences in the treatment from Arthur and Alfred. It seemed really realistic to me. But I loved this alot!
