Greece/Japan – 5 times Japan tried to confess to Greece (and 1 time he succeeded)

Japan’s various attempts to confess his feelings to Greece. It doesn’t have to be exactly 5 or 6 times and the reasons for his failures can be humorous (ex: someone barges into the room at exactly the wrong moment, just like in a sitcom) or serious (ex: Japan gets cold feet at the last minute), as long as it chronicles Japan’s repeated failures up to him finally succeeding in spitting the words out to Greece.

So this prompt gave me a cute little idea for an AU college story. I hope OP doesn't mind human names!
Heracles Karpusi lived a pretty simple life, for a doctoral student of Greek History. He taught in the History department, mostly freshman-level or special topics classes, and occasionally took trips to Athens or Sparta or Corinth to visit museums and archeological dig sites for research. Most of the time he was on campus, he holed up his office either sleeping or reading books. He had four cats at home (Athena, Hera, Artemis, and Apollo) but no roommates in his two-bedroom apartment a few minutes from campus. All in all, his life was quiet, and he liked it that way.
Until his friend drinking buddy Sadiq Annan told him about the Japanese transfer student studying for his Masters degree in East Asian history. That was the day Heracles's life was turned upside down, backwards, and inside out.
"He just arrived and he needs a place to stay, and you have an extra room, right?" Sadiq said as they sat at the bar that evening. "I already

Nodding slightly, Kiku reclaimed his seat and Heracles sat down in the chair Sadiq had just pulled over. "So," the grizzled man started, "you said you're a Masters student, right Kiku? What's your specialization

I don't mind human AU or names at all; in fact, I'm happy that you're taking my request to places I hadn't thought of. Plus, Giripan Gakuen AU fics aren't all that common, so I'm quite excited to see one that looks very promising so far!
I enjoyed how you established Turkey as Greece's frienemy and lol'd at how Greece was already looking forward to the possibility of seeing Japan naked as his roommate, and am eager to see just what Japan thinks about his roommate in future parts.
As for other characters, I'd like to see Germany and Italy if that's possible, but you can feel free to leave them out and/or include other characters as best suits your story. I'd rather you write out your fill in a way that suits you instead of trying to fit in as many characters I like as possible; as long as Japan and Greece end up together in the end and you maintain this level of IC-ness for their characters, I'll be happy about whatever direction you take this fill in. :-)
I'm so glad you like the direction I'm taking this story! I already have plans for Germany and Italy to show up, so I'm happy that you want to see them too!
Turkey is just too much fun not to include, especially when he's drinking with Greece. And Greece's interest in a naked Japan is purely platonic, he swears. XD

Familiar green eyes were deepened with lust as they stared down into Kiku's dark eyes. Kiku's breath caught in his throat as he felt a familiar heat press between his legs, spreading them apart enough to access the tight hole between them. While tanned fingers began to stretch him, he lazily tugged on his own erection, sighing with a contented smile. "I love you," he whispered. "Daisuki, Heracles

Kiku frowned slightly. It had been quite some time since he and Heracles had been able to have dinner together, just the two of them--Heracles had just returned from a trip to Greece and before that had been final exams. "All right, I will call them today." He grabbed a pen and paper off the kitchen table (which over the past two years had been covered in research on one or both of their respective topics more often than not) and started to write up their grocery list. "Do you want me to come with you to the grocery store

“I’m mostly going because there is an engineering conference in Milan during the time period of the trip,” Ludwig admitted. “Well, that and I’m not sure I trust Feliciano and fifteen students alone in a foreign country for six weeks

Aww GerIta is so cute! And it was such a Italy thing to do to comment on Japan staring at Greece. I really sympathize with Japan's inability to confess and while I feel sorry for him I'm really enjoying the fill so I hope it takes him a while :D Excellent job A!A, looking forward to more.

Awww, the little GerIta part made me smile the whole time I was reading it.
And and fdjlgklghnhkt: “Oh, okay! I thought you were staring at Heracles or something. My bad!” Ludwig’s hand reaches out and smacks Feliciano on the back of the head, making him yelp and rub the sore spot. “What was that for?” he whined. Ludwig just gave him a stern look. For his part, Heracles just looked confused. “Did I miss something?” Kiku shook his head hastily. “No, nothing.” “Ah. Okay then.”
This part had me in stiches! Oh Feli <33
Kiku is so adorkable in this. Keep it up, A!A, looking forward to the other parts :D

Sorry for the late comment; I was away from computer and Internet for a couple of weeks! Now that I'm back, I can say that I also love your characterizations of Germany and Italy, especially the parallel between Germany and Japan's inability to admit their feelings. They didn't feel pigeonholed into or tacked onto the plot, which was very nice.
Japan's failed attempt at confessing made me go "aw" and "d'aw" at the same time as it was still strangely sweet in spite of Japan's failure and I'm looking forward to seeing how you write his further attempts. (I'm not going to take this long to comment again, I swear!)

This anon shall follow this story until the end, it is so adorable. X3 omg kitties. and I lol'd at how Ludwig's confession finally came out and then flopped so hard b/c of Feli. <3 oh feli. you are so... honest[blunt].
This anon also really wants to know your head canon for what all the other countries do in this school, regardless of whether they make it in or not. granted, you could do this later. Also, readeranon is biased towards my azn siblings, america, sealand, and switzerland. heheh.
readeranon also wants to take a guess that Arthur teaches English Literature (and maybe old english) and also randomly teaches an elective on in-depth investigation of fairy tales, legends, myths, and folklore. and minored (or even majored in it, and minored in what he ended up teaching) 8D
