This is a super fun prompt, though it has been tricky for me to jump between Spain and Romano's perspective, so I hope it works! OP, I hope this is what you were looking for...smut to come in the next update, (its gonna be a little Pirate!Spain/Romano and a good bit of Spain/Romano), which I'll try to get to later tonight! Romano’s Spain’s laughed sheepishly, as he scrambled for a way to try and explain why he’d walked into his kitchen accompanied by a seventeenth century pirate version of himself. He scratched the back of his head, wondering what to say to not to make Romano hyperventilate or cause Pirate-Spain to threaten him to yet another duel.
(It been a very long walk home and his pirate-self had not taken well to the news that old enemies were now allies and that piracy was largely now the activity of organized criminals in far-off lands. In the course of only a two kilometer trek from train station to front door, Spain had found himself accused-by his own former self!-of being a lazy, soft-hearted, idiot coddled by peace.) Hurriedly, Romano pushed away from the table, ignoring the sharp look from Pirate Spain, who was apparently unused to being rebuffed, refusing to look at either man as he grabbed his glass of wine and started to back out of the room.
Both Spains spoke in unison, one demanding, the other cajoling, “Where are you going?”
Jesus fucking Christ, Romano thought before he picked up the pace of his retreat, shouting over his shoulder, “I’m going the fuck to bed! Feel free to stay down here and catch up!”
Romano fled into one of Spain’s empty bedrooms, slamming the door shut and gulping down the wine as he tried to figure out exactly what the fuck he was going to do with two Spains.
In one house.

I was hoping so much that someone would fill this, and you're doing an amazing job of it. It's hot, has great characterization, and I'm hanging off of every word.
For some reason, I never considered that Spain and Romano might not be together when Pirate!Spain shows up, but I love that you're writing it that way. It makes Spain's insecurities so much better, even though it's obvious that Romano loves him and he really has no reason to be worried. Romano fucking refers to him as his Spain, and that is just so cute!!! Jealous!Spain is such a huge kink of mine, and I love how you're writing him. He's so gentle and hesitant to act out (Really, Spain? The best you can do is keep redirecting Romano's attention back to you with questions? XD), but you feel like he could snap at any moment

another update, since I had to test out my shiny new laptop, and also because said shiny new laptop took all my Saturday going out moneyz! So drinking booze and writing it is. I am obviously incapable of writing anything short, so here's more and there is more to come.
In the supposed safety of his room, Romano had just managed to get his breathing back under control, sitting on the side of his bed in the dark, leaving the curtains open to the streaming moonlight. His thoughts raced, thinking about the pair of Spains sitting below, dwelling on the memory of the obvious attraction and desire in Pirate-Spain's eyes. If only the other, oblivious, Spain would look at him like that, just once, then he might, maybe, sort of consider telling the idiot how he really felt. That he wasn't skulking around Madrid just for the naps and free food. Flushing and cursing himself as a lovesick fool, Romano threw back the last dregs of wine in his glass, wishing he had thought to bring the whole bottle to wash down the night's weirdness, before

The kiss deepened as Romano parted his lips, welcoming the heady passion of their embrace, moaning into Spain's mouth, feeling Spain smirk against his lips in satisfaction. He struggled against Spain's hold, so wanting to touch him, to feel the ripple of his skin, the shaking of his muscles as they moved together. that last part was as close to anything non-con as I'll ever get but please, please let me know if any anon thinks this merits a warning, and I'll gladly add one to the update.
In spite of his warring fear and arousal, Romano scoffed, “Yeah, well, fucking get used to it. No's my favorite fucking word. Just ask the other Spain.”
Pirate-Spain paused, lifting up off of Romano without releasing his wrists before looking towards the door and saying, “I think I would rather be rid of this other me, painful excuse for a world empire that he is,” he turned back to favor Romano with a barbed smile, “and then you will belong only to me, my treasure alone, no more thoughts of him to cloud your little mind. I will have you give yourself to me willingly.”

For some reason, I never considered that Spain and Romano might not be together when Pirate!Spain shows up, but I love that you're writing it that way. It makes Spain's insecurities so much better, even though it's obvious that Romano loves him and he really has no reason to be worried.
