Greece + Japan/anyone -- I Want My Beloved To Be Happy

The few fics I've found that have Greece liking Japan but Japan liking someone else...well, they don't have Greece do anything like abusing Japan, but they do make him out to be someone who utterly can't stand or accept that Japan likes someone other than him.
So I'd like to read something that has Greece learn that Japan loves someone else and go the I Want My Beloved To Be Happy route because he's a genuinely nice guy who wants to see Japan happy with the one he loves, even if it isn't him. He's inwardly sad and maybe somewhat jealous about it, but he makes sure not to show this outwardly and does his best to help Japan hook up with his love.
I'd actually love it if it turned out that Greece himself was the one Japan was truly in love with, but I know that's a cliche so you definitely don’t need to do this if you don't want to.
Just don't pair up Greece with Turkey if you want to give Greece someone at the end, please. Other than that, I'm fine with any direction you might want to take this prompt in. <3
I don't mind that it's cliched; my prompt was already pretty cliched in the first place, and I'm not going to complain at all about Japan confessing to Greece.
You had a bit of mess-up with the formatting in the first part, but other than that, your spelling and characterizations were pretty good. I especially liked that you didn't make Japan into a complete moeblob and gave Greece's thoughts a tinge of awkwardness that was just so adorable. <3

I know there was already a fill for this, but this idea came to me after seeing the prompt and I just had to try my hand. (No disrespects intended to previous poster who did an awesome job with this prompt) For the most part, World Conferences held on or before major holidays were not favored by the attendees. In fact, such scheduling would usually result in a staggering number of absences from those who were invited to the day's secession. As a consequence, such meetings were avoided for fear of ending up with a conference where only two countries got together and discussed global issues. Valentine's Day, however, while still significant to most, was not as much of an issue. This was likely due to the fact that most nations were either already involved with or were intending to hook up with other nations who would be attending the conference and thus, did not mind (too much) having to sit through a meeting the day prior to the holiday before going about their personal affairs the next evening

"It's nothing, I..." he began and then stopped himself. Japan looked down at the chocolates and sighed, holding the plastic bag as if it were a hefty, unwanted burden. "Do you think he will like them

Why? Why was Japan telling him this? Why had he chosen America over him? Why couldn't he see that Greece had been in love with him since their first encounter

Greece wasn't at all surprised to find America in the dining hall. He was sitting with England, having an animated conversation. Well, from the looks of things, it seemed that America was having a conversation while England appeared to be having a fight. Nothing unusual from what he could tell

"These are for you," Greece said simply as he handed America the chocolates that had been made especially for him. "They're from Japan. For Valentine's Day

You should post this on the Fill List at http://hetalia-kink.livejournal.com/18224.html. If you don't, it's likely that the OP and other anons who'd be interested in your fill won't know that it's there. Plus, posting it there counts towards the 50 fills needed to lift the request freeze. :)

I just only realized there was a second fill to this....
I don't ship Ameripan more than just bros but this... this was heart-breaking and bittersweet at the same time, and I think you did a great job in writing it! I like how you characterized all of them here, especially America and Greece.
Oh Greece, I want to give you a big hug now ;~;
Either way, I enjoyed reading this. Thanks for writing it :)
