America stood up after a few minutes of just staring at England like he was some tragic, touching piece of artwork, feeling all over America's emotions in little streaks of paint. America stepped round to England's side, brushing a hand on England's shoulder. England froze, but did not flinch away. "When I take you under me," America added. "I am still giving you me." He pulled his hand away, walking past. "I need a breather, and you look like you do too." England twisted slightly, face flushed as though he'd run a marathon, and found America with the same fatigued brightness round his eyes. Found himself nodding

Daaaa-yum. That was a tour de force. Incredibly well put together. The characterization was delightful, with hints of what I like about both characters in all their variations. And was that American Indian America was singing? I loved that

We do pour boiling water onto the teabag but it should never be exactly after boil (does that still count as boiling?). Boiled water just after the kettle has finished will scald the tealeaves so the water should be left in the kettle for just a little bit after it finishes to cool slightly before pouring.
I think it is the same with coffee beans. To hot and the taste comes out differnt as they get burnt. I dont really know that for sure though. I hate coffee with a passion. Give me tea anyday.
And this doesn't get anywhere near the respect it deserves

So great a story and so few reviews! England's issues, America being completely blindsided by those issues and their characterization, it was all perfect. The smut was good too, but while that is nice, characterization is what really does it for me. Wonderful job, Author!Anon.
