Ludwig’s expression does not change. This is his business, yes, but there is only one thing that will ever make him falter. “Who?”
They both look over the dance hall and the investor points to the tiny figure of a lone dancer in a corner. “I will be one with him,” the investor says quietly.
Ludwig says nothing. He, instead, goes back to the contract and signs at the bottom. As the investor is signing, he says, “I will arrange a meeting for you and him tomorrow night.”
They shake hands and Ivan Braginski is smiling as he walks out of the office.
the children of the revolution
Francis has to carry Arthur back to the loft. The drunken fool is muttering nonsense under his breath and Francis drops him to the bed. The prospect of lying down next to Arthur, of pulling him from his drunken stupor with kisses and touches that will be forgotten in the morn, is, for once, unappealing.
Yes, the dance hall is mainly empty, but that one dancer has to still be there. He has to.
Francis does not look back at Arthur when he leaves the loft.

come what mayThe dance hall closes. The combination of Ivan removing his funds and the play turning into a complete disaster means that Ludwig cannot support the hall anymore

I love Moulin Rouge and I love this version of it. I adored the ending and how different it was but with still the same elements of it, like Alfred's collapse during the play. But how everyone found their own endings was wonderful. I throughly enjoyed this fill.
