Welp, I've never written this pairing before. Here goes nothing!

Spain loved watching Romano fall asleep. He would shift and squirm in his seat, or laying in the bed, and his arms would relax and his normal scowling jaw would unclench, and his eyelids would flutter. Spain only loved it because Romano did it so beautifully. He was like a doll, caught in a moment between consciousness and sleep, and his eyes would sometimes shift lazily to Spain's, and Spain could see the uninhibited emotion that flickered through his dark eyes

Spain felt his cheeks heating up, his body tensing, and he felt as if his chest would burst. A rush of warmth spread throughout his body and he squeezed Romano's hand gently, and pressed his nose to his hair-- and yes, it was these moments when he was overcome with how much he was in love with the young man next to him. Spain kissed his forehead again, and this time he laid feather-light kisses to his eyelids and the bridge of his nose and his cheeks, finding his lips and laying a very small peck there

You're right; there is only so much one can come up with to describe eyelashes. You did that so beautifully. I've always loved long eyelashes, and I could picture the scenes you described and understand where it was coming from.
The whole piece made me feel really calm (the tone was good ^^), and I think it had to do with your amazing descriptions. It wasn't that hard to picture parts of this. The way you showed Spain's affection for Romano was done very well.
They're both in character, and the end was perfect. Sleepy!Romano is so freakin' adorable. *fangirls*
Thank you so much for showing this. I hope you keep writing; you're really good. =D
