Swearing, Tomatoes and Pasta - Oh My! 1a/??

Lame title is lame. May have failed the bonus a little, since the “tomato” and “pasta” bits didn’t come from Romano, though he clearly endorses them. XDD Sorry. I’m probably least qualified to fill this, even though I was raised in a religious family, the extent of my knowledge of Lent is its place on the calendar and the more infamous Mardi Gras tradition preceding Lent that involves beads and bare breasts. DX Pentacostal Christians don’t really… celebrate Lent. Neither do Baptists, or Mennonites. And yes, I’ve been all three. >.< Note the past tense.
I forgot to ask in the original response and didn’t want to waste another comment, but does the OP want any smut? or fluff or… non-platonic relations of some kind? This sort of thing just begs sexual distraction after all… maybe that’s just me… *shot*“Ve, Romano, you should take it easy

“Romano…” Spain began.
“I gave up picking up girls!”
Romano slammed his drink on the counter. “That doesn’t count! Aren’t you boinking Germany? What use have you for a woman?”
Spain made a helpless face. “He’s right, Veneziano, that’s pretty… empty…”
“At least I have something. What about you, Spain?”
Rolling his eyes to the ceiling, Spain considered. “Well…” He laughed nervously and scratched the back of his head. “I thought about giving up my debt.”
Both Italians turned to stare at him.
“Ve, that’s pretty bad, Spain,” Veneziano said.
“See,” Romano said, swallowing more beer. “You both have planks in your damned eyes.”
“You have two planks in both eyes,” Spain pointed out cheerily, and kissed him.
“Fuck you,” muttered Romano. “In the ass. With a ----!”
Veneziano blushed and took a long swallow of his drink. “You could give up swearing.”

I'm glad you're enjoying it!
Oh good! I love smut and fluff, myself. :3 Spamano I can do (I have trouble not doing it, really) and I usually don't roll in the direction of Itacest, but I'll try and work something in for you, to make up for the GerIta that's bound to work its way into my head for this as well. XD

Oh sweetie! I hope that's going well for you! Not swearing is... hard. I understand that very well. I can barely give it up long enough to visit my family (they are, er, not fond of my favorite parts of language). I understand your pain and I wish you well! And may you find a worthy preoccupation to keep your mind off of it.
I'm really glad you're enjoying this! I'm about to post the next bit. Stay tuned! I don't think this one will be particularly long, but I'm enjoying the ride. :)

You might regret giving me the green on smut, my lovelies. Overboard might be the right word. I’m open to feedback and constructive criticism if that’s your bag, baby. Also, there’s a LOT of nasty swearing that I held back on, and some I didn’t, and possibly a Trigger in the sexual context. Please tread carefully. I doubt it actually IS a Trigger, but I'd rather play it safe. Friday, two days before Laetare Sunday

Veneziano had been one thing. Having so much trouble staying away from pasta at his own house, Germany had invited his lover to stay at his house until Lent was over. Pasta wasn’t quite so common at his place
( ... )
Bonus: Since he is being forced to give up his vice he says Veneziano should give up pasta and Spain should give up tomatoes for Lent.

Thankfully, I don't celebrate Lent. Not sure what I would give up though...

I don't celebrate Lent either, and I don't know what I'd give up. Maybe I'd give up Lent itself. *shot*
