Since yesterday was the 107th anniversary of the Entente Cordiale, I'd like to see how France and England celebrated their anniversary through the years. Bonus for romantic smut and fluff.
This is the second anon who commented on the request.

Oooh. Oooh. I like this. I like this a lot. The banter between the two, the forced civility, and the unresolved sexual tension in the air, hello. Already looking forward to the next part!

Year Fourteen“France!” England hisses intently - and then, when his call is swallowed by the din of shell-noise, raises his voice. “Dammit, France

How I love this ♥ The image of England and France in the trenches, England caring about France and dressing his wounds even when France doesn't care, and France calling England "passionate"... oh I love it all.
Banter, UST, and historicity are my favorite things! :D

I nearly cried as I saw all the delicious, historically correct details you used, authoranon! I don't know if you are a history student or if this is the result of a careful research, but in either case, you are doing an amazing job.
And both France and England are very IC and feel real - because I don't think even France being France would make sexual innuendos in a similar situation. And it's strangely romantic.
Definitely now on my list of most expected updates, I'm really curious what you have planned for the next seven parts.

Year Twenty-three
France is beginning to wonder whether he has somehow changed his own locks without being aware of it since he left his house earlier that evening. That, he thinks, would explain why he has spent so long struggling with his keys. Of course, the alcohol running and tumbling and generally having a good time inside him may have something to do with it as well, as might the heavy, far-too-familiar weight of England upon him: the arms around his neck, hot breath on his face, the way England is not far off rubbing himself against France’s body.
“Open your damn door,” he slurs, pushes his hips forwards and grids against France’s backside.
France groans, turns his head backwards over his shoulder and drags England into a kiss, all the while thinking something very long, complex and indecipherable about always the same and distracting me and you’re a guest here you know and will this damn door ever open? Frustrated, he pulls out of the kiss and hurls his body at the wood

England tries to scoff, but it comes out choked and disbelieving. “Spain. Italy. All your neighbours, in fact. All of Europe, all your colonies

I love that that is when England chooses to seriously dicuss their relationship. It's such an England thing to do. But seriously my heart was seriously aching anon. The hesitancy and their reluctance to show their feelings really struck a cord. You write beautifully and capture such wonderful emotion. Already waiting for the next installment
