AU where Lithuania, a meek college student who has never done much besides study and take care of his family, finds out he has a terminal disease for which there is no cure. What would you do if you were in your early twenties and found out you didn't have long to live?
He gets fed up and decides to do something with the time he has left. Getting laid and seeing the world being top priorities. Cue him taking risks he wouldn't otherwise take, meeting new people, and possibly accidentally falling in love in the process all while dealing with his disease.
Any pairing is fine, and if filler!anon wants to give Lithuania travel buddies or friends before he finds out he's sick, that's okay too. The prompt is very open in regards to which characters are and are not present. The disease he has is also up to the filler anon.

Toris had been a good boy his whole life. He always ate his vegetables, always did his homework, never talked back, never swore, and did all the things that good little boys should do. When he became a teenager he did the things good teenagers did. His whole life had been spent doing the right thing, doing the good thing, and yet he always got the short end of the stick, that was okay though, because he could somehow still find a silver lining to make it okay. There was always someway he could reason in his head that things not going the way he had wanted them to was fine. Like every single time he was rejected by the beautiful yet cold Nataliya, he could tell himself that it was just because she was shy, or that she was in a bad mood that day, or some other thing to convince himself that it would be worth a try to get with her again. But the news that Toris Laurinaitis had just received made it impossible to find a silver lining. I can't wait to see where you go with this. I've been really looking forward to someone filling this prompt and even considered doing it myself so I'm thrilled that you picked it up.

Life isn't fair.
Toris has always known that. He knew when his parents died, and when his brothers got adopted, but he didn't, and he lost them for years. He knew when he had to get three jobs to put himself through college.
So as the doctor explains radiation and chemo, and million other things he can't afford,and he twists a stack of pamphlets in his hands. He remembers that life isn't fair and the world keeps turning and decides that this time he'll make his own way. Grab life by the figurative horns.
For once.
For once he won't listen to authority, even tell the brothers he barely knows at this point, listen to no one. He tosses the pamphlets on the way out of the office.
His resolve lasts as far as getting back to the dorm. But, to be fair, no one tells Alfred F. Jones no. No one. If Alfred asks (tells) you to do something you do it. So when he tells Toris that they are going to Florida for Spring Break, Toris can't do anything but pack his bags.
