Arthur cringed. “I didn’t want to worry you.”
“Idiot!” Alfred shouted. He shook Arthur’s wrists. “How am I supposed to make you feel good if you’re hurt? Of course I’d worry, no matter what-Arthur! I can’t believe you!”
Arthur looked away.
Alfred grasped his chin and forced him to look again. “From now on, tell me if I’m doing something wrong. Teach me so I can be the best. Okay?”

Wasteland Starsweeping was the one I was talking about but I didn't know that was a sequel! And I didn't know Misplaced Soil was Author Anon's as well - if you're right.
Just clicked on the links and I recognise that author, I've literally just finished reading her (or his) deanon fill about America and England washing the car. I just need to go and show my appreciation with offerings of the internet, firstborns, kittens the lot.

I love the way they gradually work toward each other. I mean though they are now together, still there are things to learn. How Arthur slowly fall for Alfred against the mindset is just pure love. Like some above anon had said, Alfred's love is pure and strong and simple; it changes Arthur while he receives it. It's really great seeing Arthur finally open up, ready to fall, and that he knows Alfred will be there to catch him.

I really like that it's like a real relationship; it's not perfect at first and it probably never will be, but if you work together you can make it work
