Australia/New Zealand - hurt/comfort anonymous July 18 2010, 19:45:23 UTC
Ooh a handbasket ticket

Australia and New Zealand both participated in the Pacific theatre of WWII.

Anon would like to see young teen!NZ badly hurt/traumatised after an encounter with Japan (No limits placed on the exact nature of the meeting, dub/non-con is fine). Cue big brother Aussie to the rescue and aftercare.

Male!NZ is preferred, but female is okay too.

Bonus:
- Alternatively, both were also involved in European campaigns, so something there with Germany instead of Japan is fine as well

'Nozzle behind' ... I'm watching you CAPTCHA.

He was such a petite little man, New Zealand hadn't been able to believe for a moment that this was a empire but that changed pretty soon, oh yeah, nothing like a forest of bamboo shoots growing through your skin to make you scream and beg and call him whatever the fucking wants... and do..whatever it is he wants to do.."Hey mate I think your sheep are loose again, there's that funny local bird of yours having a rodeo with some of his friends with that big nasty ram you keep arou ( ... )

"...the mud wouldn't stop and you could barely make a mile a day, and the infections on your feet because your boots were useless, and when the bugs weren't biting you the snipers were... it just went on and on and then you'd find a nest and it'd be all over because they're fucking crazy! They'd kill themselves rather then surrender ( ... )

;-;

;____;

B-bawwwwwww!

This was so good, anon! This whole thing has such an odd tone to it...it feels a bit like I'm going crazy and I love it. I wish so hard that there was more quality fic like this of these two, especially now that NZ has an official design. Keep up the good work, mate!

if you happen to find a pic of NZ's character design, post a link or something - I've been searching all morning and can't find a thing! *sulks* although I'm probably looking in the wrong places...

and this fill was excellent, by the way - heartwrenching in an adorably cuddly sort of way. i have not had enough sleep and it may be obvious. it's a good thing you filled, too, because now I no longer feel the pressing need to do it myself! xD

Hey kiwis, aussie anon here. I was also thinking of filling this, but I couldn't think of an instance in WW2 where Aus and NZ were in the same place at the same time fighting against Japan, which is what I needed for what my mind came up with. If you know, please let me know ♥

Here's a link for NZ's design. Just scroll down to the gallery, s/he's in there.

And nice one, author anon! It really had that off-kilter feeling of insanity... I hope NZ is alright ;__;

Would just like to say aussie!anon, that I am cool with if you want to fudge history a bit, like an AU (or maybe for some reason Aussie and NZ themselves were with each other while their men were elsewhere?). I'd really like to read what you have in mind :]

Hi OP, this is aussie!anon. I'm a very slow writer and tend not to finish things, so please don't get your hopes up :( I do have something brewing in my head though. It wouldn't fulfill the specifics of your request as well as the first fill, but at least it would be more Australia and New Zealand ^^

author anon here! I only found the small picture in the hetalia wiki but someone nice posted how to find him/her (I don't care which... just...yay! hetali design!) on pixiv, which I'm going to do (when I get home cause uninetwork classifies Pixiv as "pornography" )

There is a sheep. I am slighlty disappointed about the sheep.

omg anon ;A;

This was heartbreaking, but wonderfully written, done. I love you for writing something that feels true/realistic, that wounds like these take so much time to heal from. I want to sweep NZ up and hug him forever.

新さん <-- this is NZ's Pixiv tag, if you use the site and wish to see fanart of his official appearance.

This is one of my favs: http://www.pixiv.net/member_illust.php?mode=medium&illust_id=11435166

Thanks so much for writing this author!anon, you rock.

Oh my... it's brutal and terrifying and just so sad.

There's something so very horrible about seeing the wreck that New Zealand becomes, the memories that haunt him and won't let him go so that in his mind, he's never really gone. Australia is perfect in this. He's not curing his little brother with The Power of Love instantly; he isn't perfect at this. But his rough encouragement, his fumbling attempts at comfort and caring, is absolutely in character, even those rare moments of frustration and resignation when he feels so powerless.

I tried to base some of what New Zealand acted like on some of the old guys I know who were in the war and in the pacific, some of them clearly aren't healed. I also borrowed some their stories like the fish and chip store man and the speargun fishing expedition
