Latvia coughed and gagged slightly. Any air he breathed in wasn't making it to its destination, and that was all thanks to a large Russian who had decided that, after many drinks, he would crash in Latvia's bedroom, since it was the nearest to the staircase in his house.

Oh, he had been sleeping peacefully before. Soft little breaths that made no sound, contrasted with the heavily loud snores of Russia.

Lithuania was right. Russia really did snore like a wild pig with catarrh. How did Lithuania know? Obvious reasons, as well as his room unfortunately adjoining Russia's.

Latvia tried to move and get away from under the Russian giant, but it seemed he was stuck fast. He writhed and wriggled a bit, but this just made Russia wrap his arms around him like a live teddy-bear.

Russia really was big-boned. He wasn't what one would call obviously fat, although a little layer of blubber was carefully kept on his belly to keep him warm. Latvia had found that Russia's love of fatty foods wasn't due to gluttony, but necessity ( ... )
