Our modern, stressed and shattering Liet is somehow switched with his medieval self (Tony? is that you? or maybe Britannia Angel?). You know, the guy that kick-Teutonic-ass. Of course- this is causing a lot of confusion to the world-and mostly to medieval!Liet himself ("America? Who is that? Never heard of him."- "Prussia, how many times do I have to kick your ass away so you get it and leave us alone?!"-"what do you mean I have brothers?!" and so on.)

Wow. I'm actually an Oregonian, but I'm flattered that you find my characterization that convincing! I think that's the biggest compliment I've ever gotten on a kinkmeme fill. Are you, kind anon? I know there are quite a few Polish fans, but have never seen one mention being Lithuanian.

Ah. xD Too bad. But I still love this fill to death. <3 And no, I'm not either. ;; And yeah, I know, I've noticed that too. Lots of Polish fans and even a couple of Latvians and Estonians but I haven't seen any Lithuanians either.

Paris was noisy, and part of it was the noise of people, which he was used to, but part of it was the noise of motorcars and busses and trucks, and part of it was the noise of what Poland told him was electricity. The fifty-hertz hum. He'd been tangentially aware of it when he woke up, but there were bigger questions on his mind just then, like Where am I? It was a relief to get to Poland's place. The building was a crumbling stone pile, but his rooms were cool and stuffed full of things - paintings on every wall, tiny tables with statuary and decorative candlesticks and artifacts of obscure function, little rugs covering the floor. He had an entire cabinet of books, as tall as he was. Poland noticed Lithuania staring, and chuckled. "I guess you don't remember the printing press? Books're cheap. Look if you like, but I don't think you can read most of those. Crap, that must be France," he added, as one of the obscure artifacts began to emit a buzzing chime. He dove for it, grabbed the top part, and shoved it against his ear. That

Somehing twanged in the back of his head. A few seconds later, he was staring down at Poland, sprawled on the floor clutching his nose with a horrified expression.
"Sorry," he whispered, and took a few deep breaths. Not an attack, he told himself, just Poland being - friendly. Had they become so close that Poland could touch him like that with no warning, and he wouldn't react badly? When had he finished his phone call? Lithuania knelt next to him and offered a hand, wincing internally. "Sorry, I didn't realize it was you."
"It's okay," Poland muttered, or at least something that sounded roughly like it. He pulled his hand away, prodded delicately at his nose with a finger, and winced. "Don't think you broke it. My fault. Shouldn't have snuck up on you."
"Do you do that a lot?"
"What, break my nose? Nope." He grinned. "But I pounce on you all the time, and you're always, like, Lenkija, I have paperwork to do or Lenkija, I'm trying to watch the news or Lenkija, the soup's going to boil over if we're sitting here making out

I'm still loving this story, Author!anon. It's beautiful the way you're writing it, taking your time getting Liet used to the modern world before he's comfortable enough to go Grand Duchy on everyone ^__^
I imagine that we'll see this next part (pretty please?) when Liet goes to beat up Russia or something. Because he will not stand to be treated that way. And then of course the delicious rest of the prompt.... mmm. Super!bonus would make me super!love you - hinthint
I love Poland's examples about what usually happens when he pounces on Liet. XD "Lenkija, the soup's going to boil over if we're sitting here making out instead of stirring it ooooh that's nice" I'd imagine making out with Poland would be very nice indeed. He's talented like that in my headcanon ~__^
Ahhh, I want more.....
Recaptcha: horsy agree - See? Even Poland's pony wants more.
Very Late Indeed- OP is back

…. Forgive me for being so late with my comment… *Living in a boarding school… with some very stupid computers that won't get into LJ*
Offering you anything you want for continuing this! Please, Anon…. This fill is way too good to be stopped half-done like that!
Lithuania is very IC, and so is Poland…. And his comments. Oh, God, I couldn't help but giggle about every second thing he said! Lithuania taking time adjusting= WIN. And again it seems you have done a fine research and even better job applying it in. I admire you, I really do.
Now I really want you to keep going, Oh, please Anon.

The anon from above who asked about your nationality here. o/ And I'm even more late than the OP. orz Oh god, how did I miss the update? And I reallyreally hope you are still going to continue this. *___* Because it just keeps being lovely. I think this might be my favourite case of medieval-person-gets-thrown-into-modern-times fiction because Liet is just so sensible and observant and it's clear that he isn't stupid just because he's mentally back in the middle ages and some things are hard for him to understand but he's not going all "oh noes there are shiny-eyed beasts roaming around the town!" or anything.

The clock ticked. The sun slanted low through the windows. Lithuania stared fixedly at his knees, and his chest rose and fell. Poland kind of wanted to scootch down the sofa and hug him, but he wasn't sure if Liet would take it the right way.
"Does Russia have a telephone?" Liet asked eventually.
"Yes he does, but he would not be cool with you calling up to yell at him and neither would I, come on, Liet, there's brave and there's, yanno, asking for it

Aww, poor Liet. And poor Poland. So many things have happened... Anon, I love this fic, and I hope you continue it soon <3 I think that is obvious, but I'm not OP xD
I was worried this fic had been abandoned! And then, on my birthday, I check the fills and here's an update~ Love that you show your research so well. And I want to hug Poland and share my birthday cake with him.
