The strength of a country (1/3) anonymous January 4 2010, 22:58:02 UTC
Request: http://hetalia-kink.livejournal.com/10530.html?thread=16596514#t16596514
A nation interacting with its people.

This wasn't as one-on-one as the OP requested, but it came to me while I was browsing old fills and I couldn't pass it up.

Guds hjælp, Folkets kærlighed, Danmarks styrkeThey awoke at 1:32 am to the sound of someone pounding on the door. They were a reasonably well-behaved family of five, two parents and three young children, and they weren’t the type to cause any trouble or get involved with lowlifes. There was no reason for anyone to come calling at this hour ( ... )

Not even 48 hours later, people became aware of what was going on. The German police were knocking down doors on apartments, only to find the Jewish occupants gone and the non-Jewish neighbors suddenly know nothing about where all of these people have gone. All of this had been an insane idea to begin with, held together with only prayers and loving neighbors who were willing to help out ( ... )

There were several sets of boots walking across the deck, their owners all inspecting the cracks and crevices of the boat. One set stayed in the middle, unmoving, as the man wearing them presumably watched everyone else work. Somehow that set was scarier then the rest, and the girl was sure that she would be seen through the door as soon as the person was facing her direction ( ... )

jdfhggh I'm still amazed that people have paid attention to my request, even still!

I don't see Denmark often but I love him as a character, so this was a nice little twist. Extremely heartwarming, and yet funny at the same time. Thank you anon!

ohohoh Denmark you cheeky bastard

You! Author!non! Outa my head, it's not safe in there! Srsly, I saw the request and this is pretty much EXACTLY what popped into my head. O-o; But really, my mind is a messed up place.

Aside from vaguely desturbing coincidences, I adore this on more levels than I can logically describe, Author!non. I have friends who are Danish and this is one of the proudest things in their entire history. For serious. And you just managed to make it even MORE badass. You win the internets. And the remains of my thouroughly sploded soul.

'fosters them' GODDAMMIT. Captcha is in my head too.
