After two more months, England felt he had somewhat of an explanation to give America. Sure, nothing he said could make what he did right, but he had to try. He stepped off of the boat in Massachusetts and looked around. Not a sight of the young boy anywhere to be found. But he did see another familiar face walking nearby, grumbling angrily to himself

“Massachusetts, what have I told you about running in the house?” America chuckled, standing up. “And I thought you were going to run to town and get me that-…” America froze when he saw England standing in the doorway. He instinctively placed his hands over the bit of a bulge he was sporting as England’s eyes locked onto it, words completely escaping him because of it

“‘s he okay?” England heard a young voice ask. He wanted to open his eyes and see what exactly was happening, but at the same time, he wasn’t sure he was ready to face reality. The voice sounded familiar, perhaps it was New Hampshire

“I’m fine. They’re just a bunch of ungrateful brats. Domino will show them~” He cooed as he sat down, smiling at the bump of their daughter.
“Domino?”
“A shorter name for the Dominion of New England. It’s cute for her, don’t you think?” America swooned as he rest his head on England’s shoulder. England nodded and placed an arm around America robotically, still trying to get his world to stop going 100 miles an hour to fully grasp this situation. America. Him. Daughter. He wanted to find a way to escape, but he knew there was truly no way to now.
“I love you, Iggy.” America smiled, eyes slowly closing. England’s body stiffened, but his body finally allowed him to speak.
“I l-love you too, America.” And that was true more than anything. Yet, he could not bring himself to find a way to love this horror he had created. Soon after America had fallen asleep on his shoulder, and while England was sure he could run out the door once more, something inside him prevented him from doing such.

England must’ve fallen asleep as well because he was forcefully pushed aside and woken up. He blinked in surprise only to see America covering his mouth and running to the bathroom as fast as he could. England sighed. An America with morning sickness. This was going to be hell to deal with, he knew it

The Dominion [Notes]

Notes: The Dominion of New England was put into play in 1686 by the king of England but enforced by Edmund Andros (Which is why I made him the mentioned one) to better control the New England colonies. If you don’t know this, Connecticut, Rhode Island, and New Hampshire each split from Massachusetts for religious reasons and so that explains the comments that are made. Because they all separated, being clumped into one DoNE was a concept the colonies hated. Because although they were still similar, they had a lot of differences. They had their own unions, but being forced into one pissed them off royally. And then in 1688 New York and New Jersey were added which caused even more problems to the list. Enough protest and civil unrest caused the dissolution of it in 1689

Thank you for filling! It was quite informative! Curious...
Was England opposed to the idea of the Dominion that much? I thought America would have a more negative reaction towards it...being preg and all.
I hate to point out negative things about a fic but I felt that England was a bit OOC throughout the whole thing. If he can raise America from baby to teenager then I'm sure he can handle more (afterall, England LOVES taking colonies).
