This is a fill to the request that nations are used as trade items to establish good connections between countries. I don't know if this completely matches what the OP requested however. It's based on the 1778 Treaty of Alliance between France and America, during the American Revolutionary War.

DowryAmerica tried to remain calm when they came to break the news, but he couldn’t help fidgeting nervously. Behind him, John Adams paced the room, muttering irritably. America would have joined him, had Ben not pulled up a chair next to him and taken one of his hands in his own. Prussia crossed the threshold without a moment’s more hesitation, and America followed a half-step behind. Eyes wide, his head swivelled from side to side as he admired France’s place, as Spain led them in. The foyer had a high ceiling, its wooden floors polished to a glossy perfection. Every window was fit with panes of real glass, the heavy curtains just being closed by the staff to help keep the chill of the evening out. A wide staircase swept upwards on one side, its banister polished as glossy as the floor. A large sofa dominated the sitting room, a half-played game of chess next to it. The carpet under the sofa looked thick and expensive, but America was more interested in the myriad smells of spices and roasting meats coming from the other direction. The kitchen and dining room would be down that way, he assumed.

“France is off bothering the cooks,” Spain confided, leaning in close to Prussia as he did so. “You know how he is - everything must be perfect. ¡Dios mío!” He threw his hands up into the air as if in ( ... )

Author!Anon, you continue to amaze me. This is fantastic! The interactions, the ICness, mentioning the suit England gave him, etc. Everything is presented so well, and I'm looking forward to the future smut. x3

And idk if it matters, but I'm the anon who commented on Prussia being here. I'm glad he invited himself. <3

I really apologize, Author!Anon, for taking so long to comment but OMG UR AWESUM. Prussia's taunting, France's desire for America to be properly attired...it all works so well and I really hope that you see fit to continue this fill <3

This is amazing so far. Honestly France/America is one of my least favorite Hetalia pairings but concept won me over (I've always had a thing for contractual marriage stories)enough to give it a try and boy am I glad I did. I can't wait to see where this goes next and their developing relationship.

Wow! O_O I really love this consept and damnit if it doesn't make a lot of sense in Hetalia too. Like Italies being send as servants to Austria and Spain. Neeeeds to see more fics like this!

Pleasepleaseplease, continue quickly~~ %hearts; I can't wait to see France in this. I hope he'll treat America well. =3=a;; At least well enough considering the views of that era... x_X;;;
