Germany & Telemarketers anonymous September 10 2009, 08:00:38 UTC
Original prompt: Various Nations getting calls from telemarketers and their responses.

Bonus: Make those telemarketers cry
Bonus x2: Have America flip out about "terrorists getting my number and I'M ON TO YOU!"http://hetalia-kink.livejournal.com/10530.html?thread=17743650#t17743650... )

“You. Hang. Up. Now!!!”

“--- for our error.”

Was she trying to make him angry on purpose?”

Pinching the bridge of his nose, he took a deep breath.

“Give me your name.”

“We are going to erase your number, Sir, and delete your name and address from our system.”

“You ... I demand you give me your name!”

“Again, we are sorry for disturbing you. Good evening, Sir.”

Was there a note of sarcasm in her tone?

“I am not done talking to you ---“

Beep beep beep.

Staring at the receiver in disbelief, he slammed it down so hard it broke.

“Ehh, Germany? Your dinner’s ready?” Italy tried with an apologetic smile, standing in the hallway again.

ArghNext time he met Gilbert, he was going to kill him ( ... )

Well that's certainly nice to know. I wish the US had a law against telemarketing.

Also: Oh poor Germany. ♥

Different German!anon

It's not, per se, against telemarketing. Rather, it's against cold calling.

That is to say, even if you're not selling anything, you're not allowed to do it unless you have permission in some form or another from the recipients. The result of this is that people are constantly trying to get your phone number.

For example, the German train services hand out candy on their regional trains to people willing to answer their quality of services and stations survey.

I explained they need to have permission, as in, a signature.

That was entirely directed at the person before me, regarding telemarketing vs cold calling. Sorry if it came across as trying to correct you, I get easily carried away trying to clarify things. :(

I wonder if Gilbert actually wanted the car, or just gave the number out to piss off Ludwig. XD

Yay! I learned something today!

Afufufufu~ Poor Germany. It's a wonder he hasn't ripped out his hair with his allies and family.

Thank you!

(And if the anon who wrote the America one reads this thank you too! Sorry I didn't get my comment in before the max!)

Heh, glad you liked it! :D

Yeah, poor Germany indeed. I bet he'll suffer from ulcers one of these days, with all the stress.

Oh, there is one about America, too? I must have missed this. *goes to stalk the kinkmeme*
