Original Request: So, somewhere there is a mirror. It's called the Dark Mirror, because it doesn't show a reflection of you. It shows all the bad things about you. So, a normally sweet, even-tempered person who only tells the truth and hates violence is suddenly a nasty, foul-mouthed, short tempered bastard who lies and cheats and steals and hates everyone. But it isn't a simple case of opposites. These are qualities that are in that person, buried, repressed, but there. And the mirror person has the good qualities locked far, far below the surface, in the deepest, darkest cockles of their heart.
The mirror is locked away in storage somewhere, far from anyone who might accidentally unleash its power. But, somehow, through the mirror's own dark trickery, an innocent Nation is led down to it, and stands in front of the mirror.
Suddenly, the reflection starts talking to this sweet Nation, saying how lonely they are in the mirror, and how they long for the touch of someone else. The Nation pities the mirror dweller, and touches the mirror. But this was what the mirror dweller wanted, and pulls the Nation inside, switching their places, and trapping the innocent Nation in purgatory for all eternity. And the mirror dweller sets off to wreak havoc on the world.
Meanwhile, this innocent little Nation discovers the Dark Mirror's world is very much the opposite of what they know: everyone's worst qualities are front and center, and the world is twisted and black. But even these horrible people hated the reflection of the innocent Nation, because they were beyond evil, even by their standards. Nation sets off to get back to the other world, and try to get the mirror dweller back where they belong.
