Perhaps something with pairings (US/UK, UK/Australia?, France/UK, US/Canada, France/Canada, Prussia/Germany, Austria/Hungary.. I dunno, just, whatever.) or without; it makes no difference.
It can be about death, some terrible piece of history, coping with this or that disaster or break-up. It can be AU, whatever. I like heartbreaking, poignant sort of things. I can't be the only one, right!? DX
Summary: Having a love given freely is far more achingly beautiful than love given from within a cage.
