Remember the HetaChristmas Lightning Challenge? Well, now that we are in the midst of the summer we have the HetaSummer Vacation Lightning Challenge!
This challenge is open to writers and artists! Essentially, a writer or an artist creates their own thread in response to this post. Others can respond to that writer/artist with one of the following prompts and a character or pairing that would like to see the prompt written for. Once the prompt is offered by someone it can not be claimed by another person for that same artist/writer. That way someone doesn't get stuck filling the same prompt multiple times. You do not have to be a writer/artist to participate, you can just ask for prompts to be filled, although it would be nice if you could contribute as well. This challenge will run until August 15 11:59 pm MST.
To make the table varied I ran a word prompter and this is what it gave me...

Everyone who participates as a writer/artist will get a banner made by me that will be posted to this comm.
How this will work:
Step One: If you are an artist/writer post a comment in this post with this:
Username:
Type of fanwork: (put either fanfiction or fanart here or both.)
Favorite characters: (You can make a list of those you like to write or draw to give prompters an idea of what you are comfortable with)
Things I will not draw/write: (Let people know what you are not comfortable with and won't do)
Highest rating: (So people will know what they can expect from you)
You may also link the table to your journal so that people know what's available. You do not have to do this if you do not want to. Just leave a note in your post that people will need to look through the requests to know what isn't available.
Step Two: If you are an artist/writer wait for requests! If you would like to request something, post with this:
Prompt # (fill in prompt number and title here - if it is one of the Choose Your Owns please give author/artist a word or short prompt)
Character/Pairing/Group: (Select some characters that you would like to see, use a '/' in between if it is a romantic pairing and a '+' if it is platonic)
Don't be afraid to request! If you are filling requests definitely make some of your own! That way we all have things to work on!
Step Three: Fill your prompts! When you are finished with the prompt just post it in a comment beneath the request (similar to the Kink Meme).
The Rules:
1. Stories need to be a minimum of 100 words, since this is a lightning challenge drabble-like stories are more than appropriate. However, if the author would like the story can be as long as it ends up, just remember the challenge only lasts until August 15th. Artists please use your best judgement. I am not an artist so I'm not sure what the drabble equivalent to art would be.
2. You may only request something from a writer/artist twice for now per person, every two days. This is to keep it rolling. An artist/author can choose to limit this his/herself on their post if they would like.
3. Feel free to stop taking requests at any time! You don't have to take any more than one request if you don't want to, just reply to your own post with 'CLOSED'. If you decide you want to reopen later you can just post 'OPEN' to let people know.
4. Have fun! Don't feel any pressure to fill every prompt and prompter don't get offended if your prompt isn't filled! This is just for fun and something to do while waiting for updates on Himaruya's event!
5. Feel free to comment! If you liked someone's story, let them know! I'm not worried about thread lengths, if this turns out to be really popular I will certainly add another page!
If you have any questions feel free to ask! Happy drabbling/doodling!
I have added an index post with a link to threads and fills:
