Though he thought such thoughts regularly, Veneziano couldn't help but wonder if life could get any better than this very moment, warm and lazy against Germany's side, filled with the wine of his lands and the food of his brother's, sitting in a room in the heart of their nation. Even Germany seemed lulled by the late evening magic of a holiday in Rome, flushed so adorably from red wine and the not so innocent touch of Veneziano's appreciative fingers along the soft, hidden, skin of his wrist.

And though it had been very noisy for awhile (Romano always was so passionate about everything, particularly when it came to Spain and his passion for Romano), the banging and shouting in the kitchen seemed to have quieted. Veneziano suspected that Spain was giving Romano a much needed cheer-up charm, weaving him under the same spell that held Veneziano and his dear Germany so wonderfully entranced on the couch ( ... )

I was so hoping you'd work the butter shortage in somehow. Denmark knows exactly how important butter is to Scandinavians during the Jul season after all.
