Blurb: Clay and Gemma, where to begin. They caught my attention in the pilot. I was sold in ep six when they got into a massive domestic in the middle of the towns police station, yelling at each other from opposite ends, Gemma handcuffed for an assult charge, and Clay being held by ATF for questioning. The whole station watched on. I kid you not. it really happened. Though their domestics are entertaining and explosive at times, the real thing that grabs you about this ship is the level of trust they have in each other. In front of everyone Clay has to be a big badass, President of the MC, and everything it implies and demands. Gemma is the queen, and support structure. The club always comes first. But when its just them, its SO obvious how much this man depends on this woman. He softens around her, which is entirely adorable. Plus its SO refreshing to see a ship that doesn't give a shit what anyone else thinks about them. lolz, bring on the PDA. Another awesome thing about this ship is that Gemma stands as Clays equal. There are so very few people that stand up to Clay Morrow, but Gemma is never afraid to get in his face and is never intimidated by him. Their marriage works, because neither dominate it.
The only sad thing about this ship, is there is SO very little fan fic for them. So i only have 3 fics (sad i know), but enjoy them none the less.

Why This Must Be Read: I adore this for one reason. Its SO true. Its simply Clay and Gemma at the end of the day, when they don't have to be who they are with the club, just themselves. Its nice to see the softer side of Clay, which we know is there, and only even around Gemma.

Why This Must Be Read: This has a bit of Jax/Clay mixed into it also, and after they spent most of season 2 at each others throats its nice to see them looking out for each other. The other aspect to this fic, is the mother roll that Gemma plays to the club, she's not only their Queen, but really holds everything together. These boys might be all badass and tough, but at the end of the day, they really need her around to tell them what to do and help put pieces back together.
