I'm starting out with the first show that I ever taped off television in my youth. I even wrote up little blurbs to remind me what episodes were on which tape (they were reruns airing in entirely random order but I loved the show and persisted despite this). I shipped Lee and Amanda long before I (or probably anyone else) ever heard of shipping.

When you mentioned taping it, I had flashbacks to having to study for my college exams during the finale and asking my Mom to tape it for me.

She did.

Or she tried.

She tried to edit out the commercials and wound up taking all of them rather than the show.

Oh my goodness! What a sweet thought leading to an epic disaster! I would be crushed. It's so strange to remember how we feared we would never be able to see something we missed back then. Now watching something when it actually is being broadcast seems rare!
