DUUUUDE. I strongly dislike Uhura/Spock in Nu!Trek because of the teacher/student relationship, buuuut I think you're about to convert me with your rec! Fake Dating is one of my FAVORITE tropes and it fixes what I find problematic about this ship, so yay! Thanks again!

Yesssss, do ittttttt. Fwiw, Spock isn't directly her teacher anymore but her thesis advisor, but teacher/student relationships also aren't considered taboo in the academy culture the author has created. All in all, I feel like it was handled well in this story.

So many great recs nearly on a daily basis for random ships I've never thought about or haven't found much fic for, and it's thrilling my heart.

I just spent the last week in a haze as I binge-read that Spock/Uhura fic. SO DAMN GOOD. ♥

Thank you for reccing that Spock/Uhura fic. I'll have you know that I spent the last week doing nothing but bingereading, and it's actually brought me back to reading fanfic after a long hiatus (and converted me from being fond of the ship to I love it so much)
