Just looking at the pairings, I found myself thinking, "Where's 'Spike/random barn door'?"

LOL,Yes that was the vibe I was going for, more or less. Since this was more about Spike than my actual shipping preferences, I dug up old favorites where he and his story-arc were highlighted... and just think, i couldn't find online one much loved old Darka/Spike story (never saw a more unlikely pair sold any better)or one Spike/Faith i remembered from ages past. If I had added those, this post would have REALLY contained every possible Spike-ship.

Great job! It's hard to capture all the nuances of Spike - it takes a village of fic writers! Great choices of stories. at least going by the ones I've already read. Do you have a link for "London Hellmouth" or do you have have a file to share? Is the "Marking Time" story the one by annapurna_2? That's a worthwhile one.

Is the Spike/Faith story you are thinking of by anaross? She did a few but I'm always in the market for more of the good stuff.

Yep, it turns that Marking Time is the same story by Annapurna_2 :)

The Spike/Faith story I was looking for ... I remember only that it was about them guarding the Cleveland Hellmouth and I was sure it was on the all-about-spike site, but I didn't find it there so *shrugs in surrender*. Anaross is a great author (i loved her stories),I don't know how I forgot about her, but I am going to read her stuff again right away, even if I don't think that specific story was hers.

Spike is one excellent muse, is he? He is great to write and read about in all the versions of him .... it's a fortune he lives on in fanfiction because I just can't connect to him in the comicbook seasons.

The Faith/Spike one might be He's the Light in Her Fridge by dutchbuffy2305, which is in Cleveland, I think. So many good writers! So many good stories!
