SHIPPER MANIFESTO: ELIZABETH WEIR/JOHN SHEPPARD (STARGATE ATLANTIS)

Pairing: Elizabeth Weir/John Sheppard
Blurb: They are my OTP for life.
You know that pairing that spoiled you? No matter what you do, or how much time has passed, how many other shows you watch, there’s always that one paring you always come back to? For me that was Sheppard/Weir.
I had a hard time thinking of what to put in the blurb for them, and was really tempted to just go ‘asdfghjkl SO HOT OTP FOR LIFE’ and just draw hearts around their pictures (hee! I totally did this), but here goes, lol.
John Sheppard and Elizabeth Weir, to me, were always two sides of the same coin. Though worlds apart from each other (one is an intergalactic diplomat, the other a military man), their ideologies would clash, disagreements with hot angry sexual tension would bubble up, but in the end, they always, always had the same goal: the security and happiness of everyone in Atlantis, and ultimately found a lasting bond in the burden of leadership that only they seem to understand.
They had everything: they were funny, gorgeous, angsty, dorky (season 1!), bad-ass (Elizabeth negotiated for nukes while blindfolded and tied to a chair, John flew into enemy ships to save Atlantis), stubborn, fiercely loyal, frustrating, complicated, --- everything that makes a pairing great.
