Christine Chapel is amazing. In the original series of Star Trek, she was one of the only female characters in a predominately all-male cast and she was awesome. Smart, competent, caring and unafraid to face challenges, she was always there for the crew. She went from Head Nurse on the Enterprise to working at Starfleet Command in their operations department, ending up with the rank of Commander.
Then there is reboot!Christine Chapel which, aside from one line in the 2009 film, we haven’t actually seen onscreen (Fun Fact: the line is actually a recording of Majel Barrett’s voice who played Christine Chapel in the TV show! Talk about amazing women? Majel Barrett was AWESOME).
And since when has a lack of a corporeal body ever stopped fandom? Reboot!Christine Chapel has been warmly embraced and while some of the details may have changed, she remains a brilliant, strong, capable, clever woman giving her absolute all on the Starship Enterprise.
Now, people generally pair her up with Dr. McCoy (my personal favorite), but I’ve also seen her with a few other members of the crew. The stories I’ve picked below are all well-written, funny, sexy, smart stories that feature a totally kickass!Christine.

Why This Must Be Read: Okay, this is a tiny fic in a very long set of stories. The series is primarily Kirk/McCoy, but there are these moments of Sulu and Chapel that make me grin like a mad thing. Sulu is so wonderfully earnest with her and she’s just wonderful. I’m reccing this story in particular as it really focuses on Sulu and Chapel, but you should really read the entire series. It’s hilarious and touching and just lovely.
