which is taking over my fucking life.
ffffffu.
(and any and all fandoms apparently take place on tumblr now, which makes me feel so damn old. i'm only 25, christ. not even touching twitter because we did not tweet back

to answer your question: you don't want to know. or maybe you do. long story short, humanity is getting massacred by titans. *____*

I don't know! I pulled up the manga, though, so I'll know shortly. I can handle a manga sucking up my time. I can't handle an anime (though from the look of it, the anime is better). Are you all slash-y about this show yet? You know what's strange, I find that I can call a lot of Japanese art and writing really quickly now, because of their particularly aesthetic sensibilities regarding horror and noir. Have you noticed that, or is it just me?
Oh yay! I'll keep plugging along then. :)

i just ordered the manga -- haven't gotten it yet! but it's chock full of plot twists and crazy shit, from what i heard. i would say the best part of the anime is all the action scenes (which are insane)~ i'm a visual person so for me, action scenes in anime will always trump those in manga.
i think it's hard not to be all up in the slash for this show.....if only because of the fandom. truthfully, SNK is about teenagers growing up in a terrifying warzone and watching their friends get annihilated, so not a whole lot of romantic over/undertones in canon. (though i do ship eren/armin, reiner/bertholdt, and ymir/christa, since there is actually evidence for strong - if not romantic - relationships there.)
very much agree with you on the horror/noir aesthetics. when i heard "titans," my first thought was that it'd be more comedic than anything. and damn i was so very wrong. the japanese have the genre down to an art form, for sure.
(I AM SO EXCITE.)

the only "convos" i've seen are people blogging/reblogging comments and responses to comments, and i'm like......wut your blog is a giant wall of text. :(
please be pointing the way to the nice part of twitter. all i can see are the crazy batshit insane parts. I HAVE NO TALENT.

Yes! Either that or sending Asks, which is really difficult because people have different formats for their blogs and sometimes you just can't find the ask button. Or you Reply to someone's text post, but then Tumblr doesn't have a function to answer Replies, so you have to do this awkward cut and paste thing into a new text post. It's just so awful :( But it's awfully easy to procrastinate on Tumblr, I'll give you that!
Haha there are plenty of lovely people on Twitter! I haven't been that active on it lately because I'm not very fandom-y at the moment, but there are so many people :D
