*points to title* i've been doing a lot of that lately. it's the worst cliche ever, but the ocean is like the end of the world for me. i see it and i feel at peace. like all the shit that builds up in my head is just gone. it's probably not the healthiest way to deal with things, but i've been practicing the fine art of avoiding like a motherfucker ( Read more... )

o-oh. my god. i am breathless, just watching these beautiful pictures. i am sure that if i was there, i would cry with how beautiful and peaceful it all looks. (i definitely cried when i saw the beautiful camotes beaches in person!)

also, i hope you won't kill me but i may have to milk you for information on California. derp, writing.

Wow, those are gorgeous shots! I never feel like your pictures all look the same, but I suppose that we're hardest on ourselves in terms of criticism. I hope taking pictures at least is helping you de-stress.

And IDK if you got it or it got lost in cyberspace, but I did send you a thank-you note for the present. You are awesome. ♥

thank you!! <3 and yeah, you're definitely right on the self-criticism part....it's always a lose-lose situation, i feel. D: i have the terrible habit of always comparing my work to the pros, which helps....not at all. but traveling around, finding beaches and nature reserves is the best de-stresser i've found in a long time.

ahh, i did get it! sorry for not responding. ;___; PMs tend to slip my mind, since they don't show up directly on my LJ~ you're very welcome, though! :D

Use Flickr for photos. There's really no competition ;) Although FB is good too, especially if you already have an audience!

These are absolutely gorgeous. I know what you mean about nature photos looking alike after a while, but you can't let that stop you :)

thank you, em! ♥ *breathes* i think as long as i'm improving, in terms of composition/variety/overall-quality, then hopefully that will lead me on the right track.
